Follow these steps to insert a new slide in PowerPoint 2007.

  1. If PowerPoint is not already open, first launch the program. If it is already open, skip to Step 3.

Go to your Windows Vista Start menu (some steps may vary with Windows XP), and choose All Programs | Microsoft Office | Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 as shown in Figure 1, or

Windows Vista: Type the application name that you want to open in the Start Search field. For example, if you type powerpoint, the Search field displays the application name in Start menu above. Click on the menu option that says Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007.

Adobe Captivate's Edit View

In an earlier post last week, I discussed Adobe Captivate's views and compared them to PowerPoint's deafult views. I also explained about the Storyboard View. In this post, I'll look at Captivate's Edit view, which in many ways is similar to PowerPoint's Normal view. If you are not already in Edit view within Captivate, choose the View drop-down in the toolbar, and select Edit View.
